From Penvores, it’s easy to explore The South West Coast Path, as it winds its way around the Lizard Peninsula.
Reached by car, on foot or by bus.
It’s a spectacularly varied stretch of coastline, from wide sandy beaches and sheltered coves to dramatic cliffs and tiny fishing villages.
Walks take you through wildflower-covered headlands, past hidden beaches and turquoise water, with plenty of excellent pubs and cafés to stop at along the way — and local buses make one-way walks easy
❋ Kynance CoveKynance Cove is around 15 minutes away by car, with its turquoise waters, dramatic rock formations and spectacular stretches of the South West Coast Path making it one of the Lizard Peninsula’s most iconic spots.
❋ Poldhu CoveJust 7 minutes from Penvores, Poldhu is a beautiful sandy cove and a favourite for swimming, surfing and relaxed beach days. With a great beach café and the South West Coast Path passing right by, it’s perfect for long summer days on the beach or an evening barbecue as the sun goes down.
❋ Helford RiverThe Helford River is around 20 minutes away by car, with its wooded creeks, waterside villages and peaceful coves offering some of the most beautiful scenery on the Lizard Peninsula.
❋ The Lizard & West Cornwall Kynance Cove, Lizard Point, the Helford River and Porthleven are all within easy reach, while Falmouth, Penzance, St Michael's Mount and the wider West Cornwall coast are easily explored on a day trip.

❋ By CarWe are just 6 minutes from Helston (handy for supermarkets), and 11 miles from the A30.
❋ Public TransportFrom Redruth (connecting from London), the 34 bus stops at the bottom of our track and takes around an hour. It continues through the Lizard Peninsula to Lizard Village, making it particularly handy for one-way walks along the coast before catching the bus back to Penvores.
